YOU are the Light at the end of the Tunnel

Brothers and sisters, I’ve got to tell you some very good news. But this is a unique type of good news that doesn’t derive from unsustainable, limited resources. The good news is a sustainably unlimited resource creating from building others up, rather than tearing others down.

You see, somewhere in my competitive career, my life transitioned. I began unknowingly coaching others, and it held a dramatic impact upon my own performance. Begin coaching, and you can no longer see ANY opponent as an obstacle. You realize that s/he struggles just as hard as you to overcome anxieties, fears and doubts. We all face the hazard of excessive stress, on the path of adapting to positive challenges, and coaching makes us sensitive to our common plight.

Yesterday, I told you the story my University wrestling coach shared with me about motivating others, and the power of that support. He also taught me that my own development cannot come at the expense of others.
One late night in the wrestling room, coach watched me attempting to trick my (obviously superior) opponent with sneaky moves. He stopped me to ask if I felt successful. I replied, “No, I feel like I can’t pull off any moves at all. I feel overwhelmed and under-gunned against these stronger, more experienced fighters.”

He took out a roll of mat tape, and laid down a line on the mat. He then asked me how I could make the line of tape shorter. So, I tried to tear the tape into smaller pieces (but if you know mat tape, it’s impervious enough to survive a nuclear holocaust.) As I stood to look for a scissors or box-cutter in frustration, he stopped me.

Taking another piece of tape, much longer than the first, he laid it next to the original. Then, he asked me, “Now, doesn’t the first line look shorter?” I nodded as I began to understand that trying to cut someone’s doesn’t improve our own line, and ends up being a frustrating and sticky mess. You can however always make your line longer. We all start somewhere. It’s not how far back you start. It’s how long you stick with it.

I spent much of my life trying to make my line longer, until championships no longer fulfilled me. At some point, i wanted something bigger, more substantial than competitive victories: I wanted to help others uncover their potential, and reveal the discoveries I had made which expedited my health, performance and well-being. So, I devoted my life to helping others “make a longer line.”

Yesterday, I revealed that I’m laying down a very long line of tape for you. I took the most powerful tool I was ever taught, that I researched and studied for over a decade, and then applied across a broad spectrum of demographics with universal success, and I put it into a book and video to donate back to the world, hoping to lengthen everyone’s “line.”

If you haven’t gone to get your copy yet, take a moment and go get it right now at www.breathinggift.com as a gift from me to you, like my teachers and coaches have given me so often throughout my life. There are no conditions, or strings attached: just a free book and video which you can download immediately and study at your convenience, so even if you’re busy right now, begin the download and return to your tasks. But do it before the offer expires, because it does cost a great deal of bandwidth at our ISP when thousands of folks download my offers, so I can’t offer it free indefinitely. I try to make as many free offers available as I can, as those who have been with me for awhile can attest. I believe it’s worth it to give back to my community, so please go get your free book and video right now to avoid missing out.
