Ferocious or Gentle?

Leaving for camp today, my daughter wrote this note to me as a present.
“Everyone thinks the lion is ferocious and dangerous, but they are only right about how ferocious he is. The lion loves his family and fights to keep his little ones safe from mischief and danger. He is big and warm and gentle and safe. When he’s ferocious, it’s because he has to, not because he wants to. He’s gentle because he gets to be, not because he has to be. You are the bold lion, Daddy.”
OMG. Eyesight. Already. Bad. Must. Resist. Crying and Driving…
