Learning Courage

We aren’t born courageous but we are with its potential. Courage comes before any virtue, as without it you cannot be true, merciful, ambitious, compassionate, dedicated, generous, resilient or kind. Unless you are highly evolved or totally innocent, you cannot even love without first having courage. So, when we look at a raw, seemingly inert block of stone, and see within it -beauty, it requires immense courageous to emancipate the masterpiece from its mundane prison. When we look within ourselves and upon others see the uncarved magnificence, and have the courage to allow it to erupt forth.
