What are Professionals in Martial Art, Military, Law Enforcement and Close Security Saying?
“I have to credit my Clubbell® training. When I do Clubbell® training two or three times per week, it improves my cardio for my fights, my grip, and my forearm and shoulder strength for fighting. Clubbell® deserves special thanks.”
- Andrei Arlovski, Former UFC Heavyweight Ultimate Fighting Champion
“Scott presents in a clear, concise, and thorough manner, offering anyone involved in sports related to grappling and/or self defense exercises material that can be directly applied to their sports-specific training.” - Tokey Hill, USA National Karate Team Coach; WUKO/WKF World Championship; 6X National Karate Champion; Six Time AAU All-American
“Highly recommended, especially for coaches.” - Neil Ohlenkamp, USA National Judo Team Coach, Head Instructor of Encino Judo Club
“Scott Sonnon’s CST seminar is one of the best I have ever attended. I consider Coach Sonnon one of the best teachers I have ever met. Definitely worth the time and money.”
- Steve Maxwell, World Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Champion, Senior Russian Kettlebell Instructor Dragondoor under Pavel Tsatsouline, American Kettlebell Club Coach under Valery Fedorenko
“The most significant benefits I get from my CST - overall improvement on my strength and conditioning… stronger… better recovery.” - Jorge Rivera, UFC Fighter
“Most of the sports conditioning information out there is nothing but the same rehashed stuff. I dare you to find Scott Sonnon’s unique material in another source! Sonnon is without doubt one of the top conditioning coaches in the US, the thinking man’s coach. He is the hologram man. Try and hit him and he disappears.” - Pavel Tsatsouline, fitness guru, former USSR Special Forces SPETSNAZ PT Instructor
“Coach Sonnon is truly an original. As a pioneer in both the application of the newest sports science and as a connection and filter to the best techniques of the past, he has made an immeasurable contribution to our program of instruction here at the Army combatives school. By combining an intimate knowledge of biomechanically efficient movement, the physiological capabilities and weaknesses of the human body, and both fighting and fitness, he is helping to revolutionize the modern combatives world.” - Matt Larsen, NCOIC U.S. Army Combatives; Author: US Army FM3-21.150
“Scott Sonnon’s training technologies represent one of the most effective marriages of tactical efficacy and psycho-physiological efficiency that I have seen yet. With his unique program design and delivery methods, I see Scott Sonnon emerging as one of the most important figures in the tactical training community.” - Mike Gillette, President of Threat Metrics, former Training Director of the National Law Enforcement and Security Institute, former Field Training Officer, Tactical Team Commander, and Chief of Police
His signature TACFIT course has been vigorously promoted by the International Fire Fighters Association, and was recently POST Certified for law enforcement agencies.
Coach Sonnon’s training influence upon UFC Fighters such as Andrei Arlovski, Jorge Rivera, Alberto Crane, and Elvis Sinosic is well known, as is the gratitude he’s received from national coaching staffs like the US Judo Team, US Sambo Team and US Karate Team. These accolades have made him one of the most sought after martial arts conditioning coaches in the world.
Most conventional combat conditioning “experts” lump military, security, law enforcement and fire rescue conditioning with conditioning for martial art fighters. However, each of these categories has distinctly different needs.
For instance, special operations military and security units often deploy for 4-5 weeks at a time. Their exercise selections are often bodyweight-only, and are impromptu due to their level of activity. They do not have access to gyms, only to their own ingenuity.
Martial arts fighters can train all the time with virtually any equipment at their disposal, so conditioning must be both effective and recuperative simultaneously. This requires constant variety and opponent scouting for specificity. Fire rescue personnel can train more often than law enforcement officers in general, and they do not suffer the same over-compensations from weighted vests and utility belts as police do. However, strength comes at a higher premium in rescue than it does in law enforcement, where endurance is more critical.
Scott Sonnon has more experience in training professionals in all of these categories than most people on the planet — and in many countries throughout the world.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that Germany, the country of Scott’s family heritage, finally has an opportunity to taste the best of the best in combat-specific conditioning!
Our affiliate is fully equipped, so participants only need to arrive with a water bottle, a towel and a bucket.”
Sehen Sie in Deutschland, meine Freunde!!!!

If I lived in Germany I’d be there! It sounds awesome. Never tried clubbells, is there any real value in them? Would love to have a go.
Kettlebells are a fantastic tool and a definite must for me to stay fit and strong.
Cheers

Rob,
Clubbells are the most valuable tool in your toolbox as no other tool, not cables, bands, balls, bags, bars or bells can move in 3 dimensions and hit everything like Clubbells. Clubbells are as essential as kettlebells!
Since you’re in the UK, you should JUMP on the chance to train with one of my faculty, Ryan Murdock on August 9th in London. He’ll be flying there directly after we finish together in Germany.

Hey Rob,
We’d love to see you at the seminar in UK. We’ll have some Clubbells at the venue, and we’re thinking of doing a “bonus” Clubbell clinic on the break for those who are interested. If you make it down, i’d be happy to show you the ropes.
Cheers,
ryan

Hi
I’m really interested in working with Clubbells but have had no luck finding any instructors based in the UK until I found this blog.
Will you be coming to the UK to do a course again? Do you just teach people how to use them for their own benefits or can you certify people (Personal Trainers) in Clubbell training??
If you are not coming to the UK again I would consider coming to Germany to take a course and become an instructor if that would be an option?
Kind regards,
Helene
