VIDEOS INSIDE: Zuzana’s 2nd Kickass Fitness Challenge!

September 6, 2009 – 4:28 pm

Zuzana returns with another Kickass Clubbell Challenge. She has become so popular with her Clubbell videos that we’re actually getting calls at the office for more!

So, in her 2nd Kickass Challenge, you can test yourself against Zuzana. In 20 minutes, how many rounds of the following circuit can you complete? Zuzana finished 6 rounds with 20 seconds to spare! Here’s the circuit:

  • Front Lunge Pendulum - 20 repetitions
  • Sumo Jumps - 20 repetitions
  • Dive Bomber Pushups - 5 repetitions

Here’s her video performance:

Zuzana says, Working out with the clubbell provides great resistance, because of the way the weight is distributed. You would never guess how heavy a 10 pound clubbell feels in your hand, but it is great because you can leverage the weight to make the exercise either easier or harder simply by changing your grip. As I mentioned in the intro video, you do not need a clubbell to take part in this challenge and practice this workout. You can use either a medicine ball or some other weight, or even just the resistance offered by your own bodyweight. This workout is not about the equipment, it is about your effort and how much energy you are willing to invest in yourself. If you give this workout a try, even if you don’t make it a time challenge, please let me know how it went for you.

Besides the Front Lunge Pendulum, you can change up the variation in your routine by substituting Rear Lunge and Side Lunge Pendulums. Here are 3 tutorials on how to complete these muscle-building, fat-burning incinerators:

Front Lunge Pendulum

Rear Lunge Pendulum

Side Lunge Pendulum

And if you don’t yet have a real Clubbell, check out this do-it-yourself homemade Clubbell until you can afford the real thing. And don’t think I’m crazy for giving you a homemade design, because once you experience the training value of this tool (the oldest fitness tool in history and the most popular fitness tool worldwide!!!) you’ll want the real thing!,

  2. Is that 20 reps per leg on the Front Lunge Pedulum or 20 reps total (10 reps per leg)? Thanks!!

  4. Whole body. Love those divebombers. Go deep with squat and lunge and add the plyo jumps. Great stuff and who better to look at.

  5. hello,

coach sonnon… that just plain looks difficult!

will try this on thursday or friday.

just wondering something now. do the gloves make it any more or less difficult to manage the clubbell? haven’t ever used them when swinging.

  6. Hmm, this is making me want to do my own time challenge… might have to try it with my favorite clubbel exercises for fun.
I would do the two handed swipe 10X, forward elipses 15X and lunge with a twist 10X each leg.

Great fitness model! She looks very hardcore.

  7. Hey Scott,

    What a kick-ass challenge… loved it!

Zuzana looks amazing, look forward to having a go at her #3 challenge… best work on those one arm dive bomb push-ups!

This is how I went today:
7 rounds completed, time completed 20 mins and 40 secs.
After 6 rounds I knew I had more left in me, so with the hunger to push the boundaries further, I decided to keep going.

gotta love the dive bomb push-ups… wow my butt definately feels kick-ass now!!
