Scott Sonnon: Overcoming childhood physical and learning disabilities, to become the USA National Team Coach and International Martial Arts Champion (in both Russian Sambo submission fighting and Chinese Sanshou kickboxing). He earned the most coveted athletic distinction in the former USSR - Honoured Master of Sport - in the Russian martial art of SAMBO and became the first Westerner to formally intern behind the “Iron Curtain” at the Russian Combat Skill Consultant Scientific & Practical Training Center in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Author of 6 books and over 50 videos, creator of his own line of patented fitness equipment featuring the Clubbell®, he has trained groups as diverse as the Italian secret service, Russian special forces, UFC Winners, and the NHL, NFL and MLB. Despite being institutionalized in a children’s psychiatric hospital 30 years ago, Scott earned his membership to MENSA International - the High IQ Society, and now speaks as a keynote for their annual conference. He has also presented for the Australian Fitness Conference, the Australian Yoga Conference, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, AC Milano Football Club, and acted as emcee for the Arnold Schwarzenegger Active Aging Festival. For his dedication to helping so many thousands of people achieve pain-free physical mastery, he has been inducted into the Martial Art Hall of Fame, Personal Trainer Hall of Fame and National Fitness Hall of Fame Museum. Scott has dedicated his life to ensuring that the 85% who, like him, swim upstream from the shallow end of the gene pool, get to tap into their greatness as his coaches have allowed him to achieve.
Brandon Jones: began studying martial arts at the age of eight, adding training and competing in combat sport soon after; mastering a wide array of martial arts from western boxing, Burmese and Thai to the more esocteric arts of Xingyiquan, Taijiquan and Iron Palm. In 1998, Brandon joined the US Navy with the intention of becoming a SEAL. Due to high ASVAB test scores, he was brought in as a Cryptologic Technician, making him ineligible for BUDs. Despite having never been a SEAL, Brandon was recommended for BUDs instructor duty due to his fighting fitness expertise: a very rare honor, if not unheard of. He is considered a subject matter expert in the areas of boxing, kickboxing, CQC, self-defense/self-protection and a variety of combat sports and martial arts. Inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and appointed the Director of RMAX Flowfighting, Brandon continues to author books and DVDs, teach seminars, workshops and classes internationally in martial arts, combat sports and fitness/conditioning.
Joe Wilson: Born with a deformity that put him in leg braces , doctors told Joe that he may never walk correctly; running - out of the question. Overcoming these hindrances to begin martial arts at the age of 4, Joe became a 3-time international champion: in full-contact bare-knuckle karate, Chinese San Shou and French Savate. Joe has traveled twice to the Shaolin Temple in China to train with the Shaolin Monks. In 1997 he became a full-time law enforcement officer, proudly serving for 12+ years in one of the most violent cities in America. Joe has taught thousands of police officers and government agents worldwide; and is considered an expert in Use of Force, close quarter’s combat, officer survival, fitness and interview and interrogation. Currently, Joe serves as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshal on a federal task force. For teaching martial arts and physical fitness throughout America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, he was inducted into the Martial Art Hall of Fame and the Personal Trainer Hall of Fame. Joe’s desire is to help people develop themselves mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and socially to be fully actualized human beings.
Ryan Murdock: Ryan mastered functional training because his life depended on it. His vocation as a travel writer frequently takes him alone into the world’s most marginal regions: places where fitness isn’t a luxury, but a necessity. Backed by two decades of experience in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, this international martial arts hall of fame inductee applies the wisdom of tradition to the latest research in the science of tactical conditioning, testing his results in a range of environments, from China’s Taklamakan Desert to the jungles of the Darien Gap, from the Middle East to the concrete carnage of war-torn Bosnia. Ryan’s synergy of martial art, functional fitness and literary abilities have led him to be nominated for national magazine awards, featured on prime-time television, and sought out by celebrities such as international rock stars Jim Gillette of Nitro, guitar diva Lita Ford, and Steve Kilbey of The Church.
Ryan Hurst: Ryan started his physical career in gymnastics very young, competing at the national level. Ryan became so intrigued with Japanese martial art that it led him to Japan for university where he earned black belt rank in Kendo and Judo. Upon graduation, Ryan spent three years in the information gathering/planning division of an intelligence organization before breaking away to become a freelance operative for four more years. The intense stress of this work ultimately led to a diagnosis of cancer. However, through diligent practice and study of yoga, nutrition, martial arts, Ryan was later given a clean bill of health. Continuing with his pursuit of health and martial art, Ryan taught 5 years at the Sumiyoshi Martial Art Complex at the Sumiyoshi Shrine. There he earned further black belt ranks in Kendo, Judo, and Shorinji Kempo. In 2005, Ryan released the Japanese version of Intu-Flow®, Joint Wellness. following up with the release of the Prasara Primer textbook and Prasara Primer DVD in 2007. He has appeared in multiple magazines and television including a weekly Prasara program on the famous Goara Sports channel. Ryan currently acts as the Asia/Pacific RMAX Faculty Advisor and operates his own private CST training studio based in Osaka, Japan.
