A huge thank you to Coach Wilson for holding a Flow Fiughting seminar in PA. The workshop was great. As rookie to flow fighting and fighting in general, I thought Coach Wilson did a great job at demonstrating, explaining and then having participants perform drills to physical learn the skills being discussed. I learned alot about myself and how to overcome my fear re: fighting--"fear reactivity" BIG TIME. The seminar was great, Coach Wilson enthuethiastic as always and highly skilled in teaching. For a seminar that I had second thoughts about attending, I am graeatful that I spent my Sat learning valuable information and having a good time.
Thanks again Coach Wilson, Kristann
Excuse me while I piggy back off my wife's account:
Dear Joe,
Great to meet you. Glad we were fortunate to get you up into Pennsyltucky. I really appreciated your candor and enthusiasm. Obviously you are fortunate in that you love what you do and you do it well. Personally, I enjoyed being put out of my comfort zone: stances, tools (I hesitate to use the word techniques), etc that I'm not used to. Likewise your approach comes from your combative real world fist, stick, knife, gun experiences (not being in military or law enforcement, I've been lucky enough not to encounter such things). Therefore I enjoyed seeing the nexus of different approaches (both physically and philosophically). Please take care of yourself, your always welcome at our sonbang.
Dear Chris B.,
Thanks for getting this workshop together, Though I can't speak for everyone (but I believe we're in good company), Kristann and I had a blast and are appreciative of your sacrifices for this event.
To everyone else who attended,
it was my pleasure to meet those of you for the first time, and to see the other roust-abouts again. Jon Haas...how's the knee today? It was an honor to train with so may high caliber martial artist fwith such diverse training backgrounds. You guys are all very grounded and not ego driven, and have a sincere desire to want to learn and better youselves. AND have serious/fun doing it! Again, a pleasure to spend a day with you guys. Y'all welcome back any time!
Cheers,
John
