About a month ago I purchased Hardwork and Leg Fencing with some extra cash I picked up being a movie extra. I've been viewing both of them and while I am still a long way from finished with the material, it seems impossible to really grasp all the information presented in any Flowfighting title without extensive viewing and experimenting.
So far I am finding these to be wonderful additions to my training. I really liked the movement drills in Leg Fencing and the combat warm-up/cooldown has some absolutely wonderful exercises. This is especially helpful as I hate the standard "bootcamp" style warm-ups most teachers use.
I was really surprised at Coach Sonnons reference to Purring in Leg Fencing. I had been inspired by this game early in my experimentation with enhancing my skill and training along with that of my students. My biggest failing was I did not see a way to move outside of the clinch range with these ideas. Coach Sonnon answered that question in ways I never would have even dreamed and so much more. Now I just need a partner to work with so I can play with all the new drills and ideas.
Hardwork has been a gas. I've never seen so many penetration jokes in one training volume  The drilling and methods are again very exciting and eye opening. This serise also shows in great detail just how important play is in learning and how much more productive it is as a learning tool, if only our public schools would catch on to that idea.
Also on a personal note coach I did not know you liked to hunt. Not many people enjoy that these days if you find yourself my way this summer I'm hoping to take a deer hunting trip.
