This Friday I was fortunate and elated to find my copy of the long awaited Big Book of Clubbell Training waiting for me. My first impressions were "Wow!". Right away I was very impressed with the layout, which enabled as much information to be packed into each page without creating a feeling of crowdedness - which is a hard feeling to avoid in a book with of the depth of a CST course.
The Big Book of Clubbell Training is an incredibly comprehensive resource that gives you all that you need to know to become extremely successful in your CST practice, whether a novice CST athlete and or a seasoned CST veteran. With the great deal of evolution that we've seen in CST, it’s been hard for a great deal of people to follow all of the new programs. The Big Book truly covers everything a beginner CST athlete would need to know for their Clubbell practice – ranging from how to apply the 7 Components of structure to ideas on how to enhance performance in their given sport . No stone is left unturned in this comprehensive guide of Coach Sonnon "teaching you how to fish" with Clubbells. The Big Book of Clubbell Training has a comprehensiveness that is only second to live training.

That is a great review, Sean! I think Coach Sonnon did an absolutely amazing job in reorganizing the information in a way that the practice could be grasped by beginners. I have found the new organization and content to be extremely helpful in my understanding of proper body mechanics and developing a training regimen.

Just received The Big Book of CLUBBELL TRAINING yesterday, and as was expected, it is a complete and superb coverage of Clubbell Training; as well as a soild introduction to the CST system.
The illustrations are excellent with the arrows indicating direction and flow. The written explanations along with the pictures, also make the exercise instructions very "user friendly".
The landscape pictures are also beautiful, (although the scenes of the raving ocean on the beach still haunts me, after a near death incident five weeks ago.)
Thank You, and Congratulations Coach Sonnon, Nikolay, and the entire RMAX staff for a this landmark publication.

THANK YOU!!!
These wonderful reports are JUST what the doctor ordered! We've spent two years getting this new book out to people as the definitive, one-stop training tome on our unique style of weight lifting.
I look forward to everyone's continued feedback, reports and reviews as more people receive their advance editions and as you go deeper into textbook.

I got mine right before I was going to do my IntuFlow. Talk about being distracted!
Nothing in the "Sport Specific Program Examples" for MA/TMA/MMA.
I'm not complaining!!!!! :)

Coach,
I received the Big Book yesterday, and I spent a good three hours at work reading through it. Good thing the boss wasn't around
The most impressive thing for me was reading about just how much work went into putting the whole thing together. I knew about Indian clubs before--and I've seen that picture of Gama and his club. But you had to go back a century and more in order to find anything printed about them. Then you were able to take those concepts and apply modern exercise science. I also noticed there are a few sources in German. I always assumed you spoke Russian, but German? Or is there some obscure English translation of those you were able to track down?
Really an impressive endeavor, my friend.
I'm also certainly going to take you up on the typo challenge. I'm an English nerd, so I'm all over that sort of thing. It's sort of a literary "Where's Waldo?"
I'm waiting anxiously to get the three Clubbells I ordered so I can get started. I'm glad I had a chance to work with Scott while I was in Portland.
I'll see you at the first CST certification in 2007!

My book came yesterday. I got to look at if for a few minutes before my wife took it from me -- I can't have it till my birthday in a couple of weeks!

I have recieved my BBOCT, and I have only had a chance to skim through it. Everything I saw was very impressive. I looked first at the exercises and found more than I could ever fit into one workout. I love all of the variations and advanced moves! I also enjoyed what I read of the history of club training, I think this is important because it shows how far the club has come and that it is not some primitve, raw artifact that has been made into the new fad, but an elegant, precise piece of equipment that may have reached its pinnacle, and we have but to reap the benefits of years of refinement by warriors of the past, and now our Coach Sonnon. Great work on the book, coach, and all those of you who put work in on it. Your excellence in all your diversity is an inspiration!

OK, Chuck? That is just plain wrong! If you had to wait you should have never been allowed to see it at all. What a tease...

Received my copies (yes, plural) today.
Clear, beautiful, accessible, comprehensive - everyone involved deserves a huge hand --- clapping hands, clapping hands....:D .
And did you get a look at those smashing folks on beaches, at temples and in fields - who knew they could afford such models..;) .
Seriously though, a wonderful flagship product - it reflects superbly on the creators and the community.

Yes! They (mutiple copies) have arrived! What a GREAT job you guys did!
My wife was even impressed with it!
One complaint, though. What's with so many pics of the geeks on the beaches? ;) :D
Coach Flanagan

Cause all the non-geeks were waiting for it to stop snowing/raining so they could get a decent photo!:D ;)

just recieved my Big Book. Wow!! I really like the layout and the depth of material. I especially like the detail in the density and century sections, along with the ladders and rachets. Excellent job!!
Cody, what beach(s) are the photos from?

The shoot was in Laguna Beach, CA - just about an hour north of San Diego and an hour south of L.A. I lived there for 10 years...a simply beautiful town.

I knew they where Ca coast, just not sure if that was SF bay area or not. The stone was similiar to that in the Stenson beach area.

First, I think the Book is great. It fills the voids, as I have only the DVD's for instruction. My question is on page #264 for sports specifac, "Baseball Swing", is the "Arm-pit cast" the same as the Arm cast, and what page is the "Hammer Throw" located? Sorry if I overlooked them. Thanks in advance.

Arm Cast = "Arm-pit Cast" (how it's named in the video).
Hammer Throw = continuous Two Handed Parry Cast.

Everyone loves the new Big Book of Clubbell Training...in other words I never get to use it. Everyone else seems to like it, my patients, my girlfriend, my daughter. Just like my Intu-Flow DVD's. I just ordered another ten sets of Intu-FLow. I guess I had better buy a few more Big Books as well.
