When I began with the cb's my focus was on the clubs and body weight conditioning (for cardio, fat loss, and general fitness). Leaving the "kb's" behind I knew it would be while for my grip strength to increase making holing onto the clubs longer easier. After sticking to it for all of this time, using my hr monitor and staying in target range, with constant motion, switching hands, for a period of anywhere from 15 minutes to 50 minutes.
My holy grail with this has eluded me up until today. For some reason my hip snap came to gether in full force today. What I expereinced was being turned into a quivering sweating mass. The wrist's and grip were just fine. It was the "rest" of the body that was now playing catch up. How simple yet so elusive it has been for me regarding this. Proper form now within my grasp I look forward to many more productive workouts.

Way to savage the body! If one preserves the initial daunting challenge, an incredible new platform of strength awaits. Share your discovery, because it's a much needed insight.

Congratulations on your progress! Now the pain begins.

hello,

apologies for use of the black arts here.

have noticed a similar phenomenon. without warning, something will just "kick in" or suddenly change for the better. usually, it is something that has been elusive. pwaitkun's last sentence sums it up: proper form within grasp... more productive workouts.

has anyone else had similar "epiphanies"?

thanks

Congratulations!!

You have hit upon one of my most favorite benefits of the Clubbells and why I, personally, prefer them over everything else.

Whether it's the process of wearing gloves, belts, wristwraps or whatever there is a separation with most tools and their methodologies between potential power and actual power. The ability to deliver power is governed by the weakest link in the chain. When you use a tool to compensate for a weakness in a chain you rob yourself of the ability to deliver (use) the power you are building.

With the Clubbells, when you first start with them it's the grip and forearm that get the most work. When you start to attain a level of proficiency and understand the 7 key components, the stress moves from the grip throughout the rest of the body very quickly becoming a full body workout. The result is being able to transfer all of the power you're developing efficiently rather than having a break in the movement chain because your grip, for example, isn't strong enough.

Again, congratulations.

hello,

coach jones, appreciate the good words! there is still a LOT more to learn. still, it is the little successes along the way that are the most significant. still pursuing the "ubergoal", just not fixating on it. have been fixating on the baby steps and it feels more rewarding that way.

fixating on goal: then nothing is ever good enough. always need more more more better better better go go go...

fixating on the baby steps: each step is it's own reward. much more fun. easier to make adjustments along the way or even change goals at later time.

it seems that the little insights are what matter, rather than some grand wisdom at the end.

and lets not forget that clubbells are rough, tough and kick the crap out of you when you work with them! how could we not love THAT!!! hahahahahaha!

see you at flowbox tomorrow!!!!!

thanks
