I recently herniated a disc between c6-c7 and it is impinging the nerve down my right arm not only causing severe pain but also reducing the strength in my tricep and forearm.
Has anyone else dealt with this? If so how did you go about not only dealing with the acute symptoms but also in regaining any loss of muscle strength??
My first goal is in dealing with the pain and getting off the pain killers which are destoying me not only physically but mentally and step 2 would be to regain my ablity to coach kickboxing and to roll in jiu jitsu again.
any advice or inspiring stories would be appreciated.

Kevin,
No practitioner will prescribe specific therapy and /or exercise on this forum. Check your area for therapists that use McKenzie techniques. For your own informational knowledge perform a Google. Check your local bookstore or Amazon.com for the book "Treat Your Own Neck" by Robert McKenzie.
