I wonder if anybody can help me...

I've been training with my Clubbells for some time now, following the DVD, enjoying it very much...what a challenge. Whenever people see me training they always want to know what it's about and how to do it, the manager of my university gym has even asked me to teach.

My question is: how do I become a clubbell instructor? I know from experience that training for personal gains and teaching are two very different things.

Thanks!

Paul,

The only way to become an instructor is to take the trip across the pond and take a CST certification course. I did in march and while it was 4 of the most exhausting days of my life it was also 4 of the most enjoyable days of my life - great training and i met wonderful people. I'd totally recommend it.

I believe I'm the only CST in the UK just now so if you ever want to get together or even just some info or advice - please dont hesitate to drop me a line.

Warmly,
Dave

Thanks Dave. I would be very interested in meeting up with you, where are you based? I'm in London but travel around a lot for karate competitions so an opportunity may present itself.

Cheers.

I'm also a shotokan man (Shodan)! I'm the captain of the University of London Karate Club...so I get opportunities to travel a lot, will be sure to drop you a line when we're in Scotland. The student champs were in Edinburgh this year actually. I'm not sure when the next BKF Scottish Open is yet but that will be a definite!
