Well, the CB’s arrived and they are even heavier than I imagined. I could barely do anything with them and they felt in imminent danger of leaving my hand at any moment. Maybe the knob should be bigger? ;) I like the new matte finish on the knobs. Good idea. They’re just beasts. I can’t remember if said anything before but I recommend wrapping a little bit of electrician’s tape at the transition from the handle to the urethane coating. It helps protect the coating from being torn off.

I have to start over with the training. Pendulum swings, clean to order, very basic stuff. I think I truly will be strong when I can use the 25’s like I do the 15’s, if ever that happens. I’m excited though. Gotta get the manual now.

Maybe you could also do some two fisted work with one clubbell? I got my copy of ABC the other day and it looks great, now if my clubbell would just show up!

Tom: Enjoy the Heavies, amigo!

Jason, great work on the new website.

People: check out this man's site... and services. If it's possible for you to train with him, you imperil your development if you don't take advantage of this coach's abilities.

This morning, after I had finished with my 5 pounders, I toyed with a 20 lb sledgehammer.

I am now in quite awe of folks who can hoist 20 + lbs clubs. At handle of 30 inches, the 20lb sledgehammer feels like a Sherman tank. Most of the time I had to choke way, way up.

One thing I did notice - it gave *excellent* feedback for doing the pre swing cleans. WIth little weights, you can cheat. With big ones, you better be snapping your hips and popping your knees!!

You cannot lie to the Bruiser!

Gass,
one thing that I've found with Clubbells is that the learning curve is incredibly fast. I've been working with them since their inception (just under two years) and like everyone when I started the 15s were impossibly heavy. Now I'm swinging the 25's for super-high OCS volume and I'm doing Arm Casts and Swipes with the Bruiser (one handed).

I think the only thing I have left is the Wrist Cast and I'll have all of the movements learned with the 25's. This isn't to brag mind you, just to show you that the more you use them (smartly) the more you're able to use them.

Enjoy the path of growth and remember we are all alone on it together.
