I want to put in a plug for the CST classes/workshops being conducted by Joel Seymour and Brian Bentz in Seattle. I have a lot of the CST DVDs and books, all of which are very well done and offer a great foundational knowledge of the system. But, and I say BUT - if you have not participated in live coaching, this is a MUST if you want to even begin to grasp what CST is all about. Trying to learn CST from only the DVDs and books and the forum threads is like trying to learn martial arts from books and watching movies. You can MIMIC some of the moves, but you're quite a long way from the kinesthetic perfection of the art and science, and you are MOST LIKELY doing it WRONG (as I found out after one session with Joel and one with Brian and Joel co-facilitating). Doing it wrong, I found, confirms what Coach Sonnon has been talking about for a long time: it adds insult to injury by REINFORCING bad movement, breathing and structure.

Joel is a pro at Clubbell®s. Brian confounded me with his mastery of Intu-Flow® and Prasara chains. Both have a good eye for movement, breathing and structure and helped me out tremendously. They make a great team, and work extremely well together. As I've got a lot deeper to go, I know I'm in for more classes!

I have to echo everything Pablo has said, both regarding getting good coaching AND the quality of these two men.

Just to make clear a potential conflict of interests (true statements vs. good effect toward an acquaintance), Brian is a friend of mine. However, I initially came to know Brian specifically because of his competence, helpfulness, compassion and knowledge. (I don't know Joel as well, but at a bare minimum I know him to be truly respectful, compassionate and honest. Others I trust deeply would vouch for the great depth of his other skills.)

If alla dat ain't enough for you, you can maybe petition the US government to force Coach Sonnon and all the Head Coaches to come live in your basement. Otherwise, you're outta luck.
