It's been awhile since I've posted anything here, but I promise I've been working hard and sweating often.

I thought I'd post something new that we've been doing just for fun.

Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland is the site; for those who want to come by and give it a try. :twisted:

After warming up VERY well...

Run the stairs (235 in total).

Rest interval: as long as it takes to walk down

Swipes: 10x5 (rest interval is as long as it takes my partner to do 5)

Run the stairs: (same rest interval)

Mills: 10x5 each side (same rest interval)

And just for fun, cycle: Swing to overhead squat: 10 followed by 20 rockup deck squats followed by 30 bootstrappers.

We have yet to repeat the last cycle....

Part of the trick with the stairs is the first run is light, fast and on the toes and the second is done with every other stair, driving from the heel and a slower, deliberate pace. your legs will never feel the same.

In the next 2 weeks we'll move to 8x8 and 2-3 weeks on to 10x10. And if we are REALLY good, another set of stair HappyFunTime.
