Coach Sonnon said to post this here to get some further help from the Coaches :-)

While I obviously know how to put together a THP by now I'm having difficulties with my next one due to a hectic month of Competing:

4th November: League match with University of Edinburgh

11th November: League match with Heriot Watt University

12th November: BASKA open (unsure about this one)

19th November: Wishaw Grand Prix (probably won't attend due to distance and have gig night before

26th November: SKGB Championships

I've been told that league matches can be as much as 9 3minute fights each.

How would I go about designing a THP which aims to keep me at, and better my top performance, while at the same time not overtraining and getting rest with all these comps? It seems like a logistical nightmare...

Thanks in advance for your help guys,

Dave

Dave,

Thanks for asking this question! I have been thinking a lot about this myself lately.

While I can't offer anything authoritative, I recall in an interview with Lance Armstrong( Tour de Lance, er, France) that his training was at such a level that even between competitions, he was never more than10% off of his peak level. This also allowed for illness and injury time offs.

Lance kicks ass :) The coaches are in the process of helping me so after they do - I'll post something here.
