Scott,
Do you think I am compounding the "fear reactivity" in my neck and traps by continuing to do high rep Olympic lifts in my workout?
Why do I do them? For explosiveness, muscle endurance and cardio.
Would you recommend sticking to swings?

Robert,
How/what/why do you visualize while performing your O-lifts? Do you do perform local and general Vibration Drills afterwards to release any residual muscular tension and dynamic mobility drills to prevent/offset sensory motor amnesia?
It could be that your strength (tension) not appropriately discharged reinforces something pre-existing (trauma protection, defensive or aggressive emotional bracing, stress, et cetera.) I'm reluctant to say, because we're too remote to determine. Next time together, let's work on it.

I usually visualize my technique. Same protocol as bodyflow, my breathing, movement and alignment. I search for the perfect technique and the most efficient use of my whole body.
I usually do multi-planar back arches between sets, if I am not super-setting and keeping in contant motion.
After watching "Freedom by Degrees", I started thinking about all the "shrugging" motions I do during my Olympic lifting,
I also noticed that most Russian Olympic lifters not not have the "no neck" appearance.
What am I doing wrong, I wondered.
I haven't thought of doing the vibration drills, for I'm moving pretty fast with little rest between sets.
I'll have to re-think my program.
I have to do something about my neck/shoulders area.
Thanks!
