I'm just curious to see if anyone has any tips to pass along. I've been wearing mine for a while now. It looks like it's just about time to buy a new pair. But I was hoping to wear this pair for another couple months, and then a new pair of UGSs will be my congratulatory gift to myself for getting my CST cert... Which will no doubt happen in record time ;)

I've trained in some dusty and dirty places, so the soles are a few shades darker than they should be. Any tips on how to clean them? I'm a single guy, so I have zero knowledge on how to clean things unless it's a Clubbell to order. :D I can just imagine me tossing them in the washer and ripping them to shreds...hehe.

Thanks,
Adam

Adam,

I would'nt throw your UGS in the washer. You could use a damp cloth and rub them, but don't let the leather become saterated. For the sole you could use a stiff bristle brush to clean the bottom. Sounds like you just getting'em broke in;)

Saddle Soap is a safe cleaner for leather. Usually found at a store that sells tack, but some hardware stores carry it too.

UGS are wonderful I officially killed mine in october. Rolled with a cage fighter and we had a good run, I was very pleased that he could not pass my guard or tap me out no matter what he did :D. Afterwards I noticed a chunk of something on the mat and realized it was the bottom of one of my UGS. I'm hoping for a new pair for Christmas.

I have actually put mine in the washer before and they were fine but did shrink a little. I heard that coach Sonnon had an update to the UGS he was working but I havent seen any news lately.
