Coach Brandon Jones and Myself are eager to organize an Australian outing. This seminar could be huge and could include all of Head Coaching Staff (Jones-Wilson-Murdock-Hurst) and Coach Sonnon (if we can schedule the right time). I cannot produce RMAX Powered Surfing until one of you Aussies teach me to surf....Any takers????

I'd love to go to Australia. I'd like to check out my favourite band The Church on their home territory. And train with you guys, of course. :)

Lack of blankets shouldnt be an issue in Australia either. Nice and warm.

I think this would be an awesome opportunity! I was just recently trying to suss out the logistics of travelling over for a CST Workshop myself, but they are always organised outside of school holidays here, so it didn't really work in too well with my current situation.
What state would you be thinking of travelling to?
Any specifics of what sort of workshop you would be running? ie RMAX in general, RMAX Powered ???, Flowfighting...
I have a great interest in Flowfighting myself. My hometown, Yeppoon, is a bit small, but Brisbane in Queensland isn't far away, nor is Sydney in New SOuth Wales for that fact.
VERY EXCITED!

Ben-
If you can bring us in, you get to pick the topic...
Hello,
Come to Sydney, you can learn to surf and we can find for a reasonable rent, a venue close to CBD with a Mat room.
Not sure about advertising but bound to get a good group.
My interest would be
Prasara
Club Bells
and Tactical Fitness Routines/Sambo

Andrew...make it happen....Smile
NOOOOOOO!!!!! :D
One of my goals is to attend rmax seminars, and hopefully a certification course.
I'm getting married this year and doing a 2 month honeymoon with my soon to be wife around the world.
So 2007 is the year of no money and no annual leave for Steve :)
Don't suppose any of the coaches want to run a certification course in 2008 ?? :D

If you build it, we will come...
Seriously, we're very accomodating and we're certainly willing to travel to spread the RMAX meme. It only takes an enterprising person on the ground to set up the seminar.

I have sent you a PM but your box is full.

Ok! I will! :) ive downloaded the 'seminar hosting manual' and had started reading it.
Was thinking... hows the 'Gold Coast' sound ?
http://www.queenslandholidays.com.au/destinations/gold-coast/
Nice beaches, tons of accommodation options, Great surf ;) (on some nice unpopulated beaches) my brother-in-law is a experienced surfer and would love to give surfing lessons, he would love to come to the seminar as well.. Great weather, and i know of a gym hall at a sports ground with matts for hire, and loads of adjoining fields. http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/t_standard2.aspx?pid=100
also has a local airport and international airport in Brisbane only an hour away with connecting flights, but hey if you came here , i would personally pick you up in a private bus. :D

I know for Sambo alone it would be easy to get 40+ people for a weekend seminar in Brisbane.

Brisbane would be a good location, it's kinda half and half between everything on the Gold Coast...But Sydney is also really pretty, and probably more on the comcercial side-good for business!

Hi everyone,
My name is Andrew Seyderhelm, I run www.systemaaustralia.com
I organised Scott Sonnon's Rmax Sambo seminar in Sydney last year and I have also organised and hosted the following international Systema seminars:
2006 Dave Merrell (Brisbane)
2007 Kevin Secours (Brisbane)
2007 Alex Kostic (melbourne and Sydney)
2008 (this year in November) Kevin Secours (Brisbane)
I am based near Brisbane and I am keen on organising a BRISBANE seminar in say March of 2009. I would look to do Flowfighting and Sambo (certification if possible). I would be happy to ALSO do a CST/flowfit one if there is enough interest up here.
Anyway, my email is anseyder@hotmail.com, I will download the details to host a seminar, so unless someone else beats me to it, I will be aiming for March 2009 in Brisbane.
Let me know if you are interested - also coaches: can someone email me the costs/expenses to get a few of you guys out here together? - thanks.
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
You may want to contact Flow Academy (the RMAX representative in Australia) to help you get the ball rolling. www.flowacademy.com.au
If you want to do a little CST training, I'll be giving a workshop in Sydney on the 13th of August. I know it is quite far from Brisbane, but if you are in the area for anything else... Flow Academy will also have details on that event.
Cheers,
Adam

Hi Andrew.
I know a few things about Flow Fighting and Sambo and May sounds like a pretty nice time to visit Australia. ;)
It would be nice to travel somewhere where everyone speaks English and the time zone difference is only one hour . :)

I may not mean anything, but I would train with Coach Hurst in a heartbeat!
Take him up on it if you can!
