This was really great to experience with front row seats. The lack of ego and true sense of competition was very evident.

The video doesn't do justice to one aspect in particular about this bout. The intensity of some of the strikes just can't be portrayed in a video. I was only sitting on the sidelines, and *I* felt some of the bombs landing. Very impressive work.

Aside from it being my honor to compete against Jarlo (a friend whom I admire and respect greatly) and bleed first blood in the RMAX Gymnasium. Let me come at this from a different point of view.

At the tender age of 43, as a direct result diligent work with Coach Sonnon, RMAX, the head coaches and the overall body of work, I feel 25 and that is no hyperbole. I have more energy, more stamina, more strength, more composure, more self awareness, more appropriate goals, more life, more to give than 10 years ago and 10 years ago I prided myself on being in good condition.

These systems, protocols, methods of thinking, event preparation tools and heartfelt individuals are serious business. I know I may be preaching to the choir, but this is not just another way to burn fat, rip your abs, learn tricks or even make money as a CST instructor, These are tools you will have with you for the rest of your long-er life to use and share with others.

Yeah, you also put first blood on my nice white gi. My wife said "what's that, you didn't tell me you were going to fight?" I said "nothing to worry about it's not my blood.";)

You did very well Cody. I had a great experience.

It's interesting to see the video. Alot of it was a blur so its nice to view it. I didn't do as bad as I thought.....
