Hello,
My name is John. I am 34 years old. I am currently a Firefighter/Paramedic. Before then I was in the military for 12 years. When in High School I wrestled and ran cross country and wwas at one point a Cat 3 Bicycle/racer. I also have done Karate and TKD. I have also done some sprint distance triathlons ( finishing last of close to it).

I found Mr Sonnon's sites after I decided to try to get back in shape. I am 5'10" and weigh about 230lbs. I really let myself go. I have tried Scrapper's Mod1 and also have been doing Ashtanga Yoga. I enjoy both, but I have difficulty with being consistent. I am impressed with Coach Sonnon's usage of physiology and not acting like other people out there to make a buck. I plan on getting my first set of clubbells by the end of October, along with the book and video.

My goals are quite simple. Lose weight. Be able to do pull-ups/Chin-Ups (I can't do one). Do dips (I can do only 1). Do handstand push ups (I can not do any of these either). Also get my flexibity back in my upper body (I can barely graps my hands together behind my back). I would to get the build of a gymnast and be able to do some basic gymnastic drills on the rings or parallel bars. I also want strength and endurance for my job as a Firefighter. I would eventually like to be in good enough shape to make the dive recue team. One of my life goals is to complete an Ironman Distance Triathlon.

I hope to learn alot from everyone here. How to improve myself physically and mentally. Especially how to become more consistent and to stop quitting on myself.

Sorry for the ramble. I appreciate the listening. I hope everyone gets what they want out of this training board.

John
