As a personal trainer and massage therapist, I see many people with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). This is a very real condition that affects millions of people, including some in my own family. Research into effective management and treatment of FMS is ongoing, as is continuing re-education of health care providers.

For those in health care, those afflicted with FMS, or those who know someone who is or may be afflicted, here is a GREAT article by Dr. Leon Chaitow, D.O., N.D., and a world authority on bodywork:

My brother is a chiropractor in the Knoxville, TN, area, using a variety of approaches including TBM. He has developed a specialization in treating fibromyalgia and has had quite a bit of success in eliminating it. He has patients coming in from as far away as Ohio for treatment. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a website, but if you're interested, you can get his number by doing a search for Sunshine Chiropractic Clinic, Knoxville or Maryville, TN.
