starting clubbells

Is it okay to start with one clubbell and the book or video, and later purchase a second one, or is it absolutely necessary to get a pair at a time? Thanks.

You can most certainly start with one Clubbell.

I would agree with Coach Sonnon and say one Clubbell is pefectly fine to begin with. I would recommed that you purchase the book and video together.
