Hello everyone, ***DATE CHANGE TO JULY 21st 2007***

This workshop is an outgrowth of the process that I’ve used for myself and for a number of other CST athletes helping to prepare them for CST certification seminars. Aside from having a good time and fostering camaraderie, I plan on presenting the material in a very pragmatic, accessible manner.

This workshop is designed for the following:

1) those who are already registered for a cert course
2) those who are considering signing up for a cert
3) CST instructors who are interested in joining the fun
4) those not interested in a cert but wanting a solid CST overview

The goal here is to give everyone a ‘feel’ for what the actual cert event will be like. It is the intent of the day to improve the performance of all who attend, to increase their confidence and align their priorities/preparations for a certification.

What to expect:

Throughout the day, we’ll work in three different ways.

1) Diligent and focused work in all three wings of CST. Each participant will receive specific input on their strengths and weaknesses and suggestions about areas of focus on to be best prepared for their cert seminar.

2) Discussion, Q&A and practical work on key CST principles including: 7 key principles, selective tension, breath mastery, integration of breathing, structure & movement, Ratings of perceived Effort/Discomfort/Technique, etc.

3) Mini-version of physical performance required at Cert seminars. This will include a look at Forward Pressure, FlowFit™™ and 4x7.

The Details:

Date: Saturday July 21st 2007
Time: 10am-5pm (1-hr lunch break)
Location: San Francisco (exact location TBA)
Fee*: $150.
*For any currently certified CST’s who want to join, the fee is just $100.

Look forward to fun day of movement and learning.

There are NO per se prerequisites for this event.

Cheers and I look forward to training with you,
C-

If you all know what's good for you, you'll go!!!!

Seriously, I mean it. ATTEND Coach Cody's workshop! No matter what your status/level/experience in knowledge in CST, there is always someone who has something to contribute, even beginners. Cody gives a great presentation, you'll enjoy the atmosphere, and it is always fun to meet new people and watch them get into CST. Just as well, his seminars are also a great way for experienced CST people to take advantage of the opportunity to "secretly-ask-what-you-wanted-to-know-about-(x,y,z)-in-CST-but-were-afraid-to-ask"

Don't miss this opportunity to avoid having to look back when you get to a CST 3-day seminar and think "darn it!, *pant* *pant* *pant*, I should have *pant* *pant* *pant* gone to Cody's seminar..*gasp*.

I've attended TWO of his workshops: one before going to a CST 3-day cert.. (Thank God!), and one almost a year later. It's THAT good, fun, and worth every cent.

While Coach Cody is working on his golden tan, EVERYONE is encouraged to post questions, comments, suggestions, complaints, and all thoughts of wonder here. There will be a few folks here in this thread to help. I know...I'm one of them!

Hope to see LOTS of familiar faces and new ones!

Health, Happiness, and Success to all!

A workshop focusing on Certification Preparation would have been very valuable to me prior to my first Instructor Certification Seminar.

However, I learn something new each time I get the chance to work with Coach Fielding. This is an awesome opportunity for anyone interested in investing in their health.

Coach Cody Fielding has groomed several CST athletes into CST Instructors. I'm one of them. I credit Coach Fielding for my success in passing the CST seminar. He's coached me in one-on-one private training, Clubbell workshops, and during the CST seminar so I'm writing here from experience. After attending my first CST seminar I can tell you that everything you do or don't do to prepare for the three days of training and learning will make all the difference in the world. The RMAX Faculty will see how well you prepared through your performance. You can't hide from them even in a big group. They're watching you! You won't want to hide. You want your performance to stand out and attending this prep workshop will help you do that.

Attending this CST Certification Prep Workshop will help "break you in" to the 3 day CST seminar. It's that incrementally progressive step before. This is also an excellent seminar for all CST athletes and complete newbies as all Three Wings of CST will be covered. In my preparation for CST Lambda, Coach Fielding shared with me the oh so important details of what it will be like at the seminar and how I should best prepare and present myself. He participated and coached at the most recent CST Lambda seminar so he can give you a good idea of what to expect. Yes, there will be revisions and surprises from the Faculty but don't worry Coach Fielding will remind you of this.

You'll be learning from a consummate professional. He had me improving my form within seconds of instruction. You'll receive essential feedback on your strong points and areas of improvement from an athlete/coach who is constantly practicing, learning and staying up to date. He makes a concerted effort to attend every CST and FlowFighting event he can not because he has to but because he loves this stuff! For all intents and purposes make your way to this CST Certification Prep Workshop. You'll be glad that you did!

Anyone interested in attending a CST certification should certainly grab this chance. I worked with Cody for several months leading up to Lambda, and it made all the difference.

Instead of going into the certification being nervous and unsure of myself, I was certain I would do fine. That allowed me to actually *enjoy* my time there as a fun learning experience--that is what it's supposed to be. Because Cody helped me get ready for the big event, I wasn't in a self-induced pressure cooker by the time I got to Bellingham.

Get to Cody's workshop, walk into the certification with confidence, and get ready to have fun.

Just in from an amazing trip, some photos to follow...

Sorry for the confusion on the dates, it is the 23rd NOT the 30th.

More shortly when I get settled.

Again thank you to each of you who've posted compliments, it's humbling to hear such fine people and wonderful athletes speak well of you.

I'm really looking forward to this event and and getting the material together already.

Mark, I look forward to meeting and working with you, I'm proud to be your first in-person entree to CST.

Nick,

I enjoyed our one session thus far and look forward to training with you again. The group dynamic will add additional 'texture and substance' that I'm sure will help us all grasp the material in new and important ways.

Cheers and I see you soon,
