UPPER BACK PAIN

I work hard standing all day 3pm to 11 and my upper back pains by the end of the day.Is there any thing I could do to prevent the pain.Thanks in advance sean.

You have flat feet, if I remember correctly from a different post. Is that right? It's not an uncommon feature to have upper back pain from flat feet and excessive standing stabilization. Your tension pain may be a result of back-force transmission.

What kind of shoes do you wear to work? Have you considered orthodics?

I wear black dress up shoes and had orthodics but they made them worse

I have flat feet as well, and have had a similar experience. Fortunately, orthotics took care of my problem for the most part, although they did require some tweaking to get them right. Perhaps the type of orthotic you tried didn't really groove with your particular anatomy. Perhaps you might want to take another look.
