I follow a couple of organic gardening lists and today was posted a most positive, uplifting article about grass-roots movements for social and planet health. I believe we are part of this.
Enjoy,
Connie

Connie- Thanks for sharing this! I was particularly struck by the following:
Inspiration is not garnered from litanies of what is flawed; it resides in humanity’s willingness to restore, redress, reform, recover, reimagine, and reconsider. Healing the wounds of the Earth and its people does not require saintliness or a political party. It is not a liberal or conservative activity. It is a sacred act.
I believe it is our responsibility (and challenge) to find the sacredness in caring for our own bodies as an example of a microcosm of the earth. In the same way that if we destroy our planet where will we live? We can also say if we mess up our body where will our spirit/soul/essence live? What could be more sacred than caring for the "home" we've been gifted with for this lifetime?
This is connected to what has recently been written here about the journey not the goal. If we look at the entire world and all the problems, it becomes overwhelming. If we look at our own small world, starting with our bodies, it is easier to feel a sense of possibility.
So I strive then, to make my physical practice a prayer.
