No athlete paid any fee for participating in the event. RMAX.tv Productions made no money from participation. RMAX.tv Productions sponsored event for free for all athletes and paid for venue, prizes and all officiating equipment.

Unlike other strength sports, a pound is not a pound (i.e. a traditional 40lbs Iranian Meel is significantly less challenging than a 25lbs Clubbell.) Clubbell was engineered to specific standards by engineering firm which normally deals with aerospace contracts. RMAX.tv Productions sometimes receives request for cheaper quality equipment, but will not reduce quality of equipment in order to make more money.

In order to gaurantee fairness to all athletes, the only way to ensure the exact demands of the weight (center of mass, handle thickness and texture, neck length, knob composition, total equipment length, mass distribution, et cetera) the exact Clubbell profile must be used by all athletes to keep challenge standard consistent.

RMAX.tv Productions intends to continue to sponsor free events for athletes until the independent sports organization, the American Clubbell Federation, launches; at which time the ACF will conduct all OCS events.

I was a spectator and paid nothing, neither did the athletes. That surprised me.

The OCS rules specify CBs for safety reasons.

It seems only fair to have a registration fee (athletes) and admission fee (spectators). That's what happens with other competitions I have been in.
