Sean,

I sure you'll find CST dovetails beautifully with rock climbing.
I have found that the integration aspect of the joint mobility and Prasara wings have been the must beneficial to my climbing.

For your flow and full body fitness I would go with the FlowFit program. Integrating that with Clubbell athletics, start with your basic swings will give you excellent hang-on strength. To develop shoulder strength progress to the three exercises in the Trial by Fire.

Do include compensatory movement. Forward Pressure will build the functional opposite movements to balance pulling. It has a great compensatory program built in. And be sure to do your daily IntuFlow.

Enjoy you time on the stone:)

Sean,

What programs do you currently practice?

Having an outline of relevant training protocols for climbing specific is one thing. Though, understanding where you currently are in your integration of breath, movement and structure, and developing a program from that starting point is entirely another. So if you want to employ the tools I suggested, you need to evaluate your departure point.

Here is a few questions:
what flavor of climbing are you doing?
what is your current level of technical ability?
what are your strengths?
what are your weaknesses?

The next step would be setting up a program and starting a training blog.

I always thought that were I to get into climbing again.... "catch-22" work (like 'blobbing') would be an incredible way to build grip strength and hand dexterity.

Jeff Higgs worked through a THP for rock climbing and he wrote an article about his success with it. Jeff is an amazing athlete and you will notice the thought he put into his training.
