I was doing ABC side swipes yesterday with a right grip, I went up over my right should but when I came down to go to the left I felt a slight twinge in my left wrist and then my fingers tingled for about 5-8 seconds. It felt almost exactly the same as when you hit your "funny" bone. Am I doing something wrong here?

Mike,

did it only happen once?

If so I wouldn't worry about it. It's happened to me before once or twice from what I think is just an odd kinetic chain of tension traveling up the arm and rubbing the open nerves the wrong way. :?

For me, when things like this happen, if it's just a once and done I keep it in mind but don't let it affect my training. If it's constant, well then it's any combination of the following:

time off intense trainning
increased Dynamic Range of Motion exercise
trip to the old "saw-bones"

Also, how have you been with your Warrior Wellness practice? This twinge could be a sign that you're holding excessive tension in a few key areas and it's causing things to move less smoothly.

Be careful with you and let us know how you're doin'

In faith,

IMO, you 'tweaked' the median nerve which innervates the fingers; most likely the real impingement was not in the wrist, but in the elbow or in the brachial plexus or the scalenes up in your neck/shoulder area through which the nerves must pass.

A one time 'ding' is nothing to worry about as long as the effect is transient.

As Coach S mentioned, be sure to train Warrior Wellness or other somatic discplines to be sure that your tendons and fasica are sliding past each other the way they are supposed to when you are swinging the Bruiser.
