A little OT but I thought I'd ask here anyways. I seem to suffer from a major sweating problem. I my a just be sitting around and all of the sudden I'll get a hot flash and start sweating all over. The same thing happens when I talk to people and it seems that when I exert myself even slightly, I break out sweating all over my body.

I'm not obese or anything and I drink lots of cold water but it's downright embarrassing to have sweat beading down my face when talking to a co-worker. I was looking into some of the oral medications for excessive sweating, but I was wondering if any of you know of anyone who has tried them!

That may be an MD referral Mike. There is a somatic/neurological cause for "preemptive perspiration"... the typical symptoms are localized though... yours are all-over? That may be 'trainable'... it's more a generalized endocrinological (overreactive) response to stress... do you catch yourself 'holding your breath' (glottal/epiglottal stopping) under the same circumstances? If so, the good news is, it's readily approachable from the conscious>subconscious>glandular path.

Definitely have them check out your thyroid levels (t3/t4 and TSH levels) as well. That kind of power surge could well be hormone related, and thyroid is the first thing I think of when it comes to metabolic surges.
