Tribe,

Just a quick note to say I managed to make it to the last 16 in senior traditional black belt kumite at the British championships this afternoon. I narrowly missed the quarter finals losing on a split decision 2-1 to a member of the English team. I also was the last remaining scotsman in the competition.

It was a tough decision whether or not to compete as (if you checkout my blog) I've been out of training for 2 weeks after suffering a bad flu virus and was no where near 100%, but I'm happy I fought now as it has shown I'm within touching distance of my goal of winning the British title.

A big thank you to everyone at RMAX for their encouragement, especially Faculty Coach Wilson for his fantastic help in June. Now a few days off before the heavy final preparations for flowfighting begin!

Thanks guys for your support!

Cody,

Unfortunately no videos, there was a photographer there so will hopefully get some action shots :-)

Joe,

The perpetual scottish coldness means I don't get the opportunity to put my finely toned limbs on display as often as I'd like, but don't worry I'll relish getting them out again in November ;-)

Dave,

Good work! I look forward to meeting and training with you in November.

Memphis misses their token Scotsman in Euro-shorts.

That could potentially be scary. As long as all the FF coaches don't wear the Prasara shorts, everything will be just fine ;)

Adam,

It'll be great to meet you as well bro! Yeah I feel ya, the prasara shorts are a bit long for my liking...

Who's joking? Just wait until November my friend - although for some reason at these events no one ever wants to roll with me...
