Just a question, which route would you start of a taiji practitioner in CST? Would it be IOUF (as taiji is mostly grappling) or Rmax powered IMA? Anybody have any experience in this? Also, is IOUF and taiji compatible? I know CST is applicable to every martial art, but does it go against taiji theory? Just wondering :P

I think this topic here came pretty close to answering this question. Ive been involved in IMA for nearly 15 years, and I think there is a great amount of depth there, and some very unique material as well.
It seems to me that the teaching styles of these arts are very cryptic, even for the time they were put in their modern form(1880s -1920s) I think that there were reasons for this which are no longer relevant. I think IOUF is very good if Im reading your intent right. The series is about Gi-grappling, but also can apply to no-gi as well as to throwing and moving people coming out of a pushing hands type of model.

IOUF is excellent for Taiji!
