The 6:th of october 2007 Europes first CST-seminar with a Faculty Head Coach was held in Gothenburg, Sweden. Faculty Coach Ryan Murdock started the day by explaining how CST´s three wings fit together and what he would cover during the day. Following this introduction he guided the gruop through a head to toe Intu-Flow session to get everybody warmed up for the day. Several exercises of varying difficulty was shown to challenge everyone. By the end everyone was warm and ready for action and FlowFit was up next! Each of the exercises was described and time was given so that everyone could get a feel for the them. A quick sip of water and then seven minutes of FlowFit followed. The first encounter with FlowFit is always a pleasure....
No doubt, FlowFit got everyone warm and it was time to dive into the Prasara practise. Ryan first explained why it was so important to remove “the parking brake” and how Prasara accomplished this. Two of the five flows from A-series was explained and everyone got a serious job to control all legs and arms through the flows. With everyone working at the best of their abbility it was nice to see when they nailed a difficult move and their faces literally lit up!
After 3,5 hours of non-stop movement a much needed lunch was given. During the last half hour of the lunch, several people took the chance to learn from me and Christian on how to swing clubbells for a new experience of strength-training. After lunch Ryan had everyone warm-up by running around and doing various exercise of how to use stored elastic energy and breathing.
Once warm, everyone learned the exercises in the coming TACFIT-class and once it was time everyone gave all they had and really worked hard at completing the whole 20 minutes. After a well deserved break it was time for the last hour of the seminar. To release all that tension that was built up during the day Ryan held an Ageless Mobility-class. Somewhere in the class when it was time for the “big bends” he told everyone who to curse for putting together the AM-program...

The seminar left everyone exhausted and happy with the content and their new-found knowledge and most of them took the chance to extend their knowledge even further by buying several of RMAX products. Many of them spoke of a big interest for a CST Instructor Certification here in Europe and this is probably just a question of time.

I feel honoured to have been the host for Europes first CST-seminar held by a RMAX Faculty Coach and this seminar set the stage for the CST-classes I will start offering here in Sweden. When organising I had the chance to get some private training with Coach Murdock. Now that´s a great opportunity to get more knowledge! No surprise, I learned a lot, as always when coming in contact with a Head Coach.

I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU (!) to Coach Ryan Murdock for flying all the way to Sweden and sharing his big knowledge.

Also, a thank you goes to Nikolay for always giving superb service and quick answers when needed and CST Instructor Christian Noorgard for joining me in assisting Coach Murdock.

Congratulations Ola for hosting such a successful event! People don't realize how much goes into that organization!

And a big thank you to Ryan for conducting such a stellar seminar and for enlisting the aid of our Viking brother, Ola, on expanding CST Europe!

Yes, well done Ola! Having been involved in the seminar I know how much effort you put into it – I just wish I could have been of more help.
And well done Ryan! Don’t know how you managed to keep going with jetlag and no sleep.
Hope to have the pleasure of training with both of you again soon!

Finally, I think all the participants deserve a lot of praise as well - not a lot of people would have the tenacity to work so hard for 6 hours.

Just back from Europe late last night.

Thanks very much to Ola for hosting such a solid event. And thanks to Christian for being there to assist. It was great to see you guys again, to train hard and to hang out after the event.

I was very impressed at how hard everyone worked - and especially at how they sucked it up during a gruelling Tacfit session, and then continued to cap off the day with Ageless Mobility after only a short break to catch their breath. The entire day represented an incredible workload but everyone was up for the task, and I'm glad they were able to experience all 3 wings of CST, as well as their integration in a Tacfit session.

I was also very impressed to see the visible progress that Coach Lindblom has made since I last worked with him in the US. His dedication to his personal practice is evident, and it became even more obvious during the 2 hour and 4 hour private sessions we did in the days before and after the seminar. We're fortunate to have him representing us as a Coach.

I forsee great things happening in the next couple years for CST in Europe. :)
