Hi guys how's it going,

I just joined the forum, though I've been reading it for about 2.5 years now. I currently live in Central Queensland but I'm relocating to Sydney on the 25th of March this year for work as I've just finished a Human Movement Science Degree.

Hopefully I might be able to catch up with some of you guys as I relocate. Currently I only own a copy of Body-Flow and I'm swinging a pair of baseball bats with ankle weights duct taped to the ends (it's true, duct tape really can fix anything!). Not safe I know, but it's a risk I'll take until I get the real thing!

Anyway, hoping for some interesting correspondence!

Hi Ben

Sounds like you'll have tons to add to this board with your human movement background. ;-) Did you specialize in anything in particular (motor control, cardiac rehab, PE teaching etc?). The motor control side of things always interested me as did the biomechanics of movement. Yet another thing on my "come back, finish one day" list ;-)

As for duct tape and the like - ARRRGH. Try one of the suggestions on the "home-made clubbells" thread instead. They all have their disadvantages, but I think you'd find em a bit better than the design you're currently using

Someone has stolen my sledgehammer, so I'm considering using the cement idea myself, in lieu of the real thing.

Anyhow, welcome out of lurkdom ;-)

Evening Ben,

If you have the opportunity to call in on your way down to Sydney, we can put some real clubbells in your hand as well as play with some Warrior Wellness and Be Breathed and ..........

A couple of the guys at school that have started training are PE faculty, as well as interested in clubbells applied to several sporting areas so you may get to shoot the breeze with them as well.

Perhaps drop me a PM to see if something can be organized.

Cheers :D

Mike,

Thanks for the invite, hopefully I'll get the chance to as I go and the opportunity to swing some real clubs sounds great!

Bob, as for specialising, I took a Journalism Major with my degree. Odd combination, but I have good writing skills, so it seemed like an obvious choice, although my passion really lies in coaching and training. I'm hoping to find a way to apply the clubbells to Surf Life Saving. I can see the benefits of exercises like the swipe to board paddling and swimming, it just looks like the clubs were naturally designed to complement those movements. Oh, and thanks for the link!
