Tribe,
For myself, I was a double major in college--studying drawing & painting, and physiology, I couldn't decide then whether to "be" an artist, or an athlete/trainer/coach. Luckily I don't have to be either/or. I am both, and all. I have been involved in athletics all my life, playing sports like: basketball, football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and tennis to name a few. But my love has always been (since the age of ten) combat athletics. Boxing, American kickboxing, Muay Thai, Submission grappling, are my favorites, though I have trained others in my 30+ years of experience.
I have been a personal trainer, taught TMA's, and been an amateur boxing coach, something I had to set aside a couple of years ago, and hope to get back to in the near future.
I came upon Coach Sonnon's material a few years ago (though I didn't partake until two years ago) when I began reading his very articulate posts on submissionfighting.com, now MMA.tv.
As to what I am into right now, I just finished a BWE cycle (Scrapper style), working a strength-endurance protocol. I am now starting a power protocol, and am transitioning to some basic Dumbbell/Barbell exercises, and some O-lifts.
I usually do a BME style workout two to four times a week. I also cycle in aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. A revolving program I put together from the Z-Health trilogy, Fisticuffs and Maximology (along with some stretches from Pavel, and Bill Wallace) takes care of my carriage, joints, and soft tissues.
For skill training, I am constantly learning new skills, incorporating them into my NATURAL GAME, as well as continue working to refine, and sophisticate my movement.
Very Respectfully,
Chuck
