I have been working on the recovery stage of Warrior Wellness and appear to be stalled in my progress on just one joint. I cannot seem to get my neck to move side-to-side like an "Egyptian". I was wondering if anyone with more experience than myself who has regained this range could give me some pointers or just share their experience and methods to regain this range of motion.
Thanks,
Connie Brown

I couldn't do it to my right side at first and it really bugged me.
I've regained it now.
the only trick I thought of was persistence. I did it often during the day and I would try it every time I saw a mirror in "the little room." At first the movement was all in my imagination but then it started really moving. I would say it was two or three weeks of this.

Yeah I know Mike. My neck wouldn't move either. Picture a doorbell button at just the right height, and you're trying to push the button with the corner of your jawbone.
Lemme throw in... not aimed at you Mike, but for the wider readership... It might not seem like an important motion, after all, what everyday life experiences call for moving your neck like an Egyptian?
As "upright" creatures, we expect ourselves to be... well, upright... and we try to hold our heads level at all times. Then we plop ourselves down in front of a computer for hours at a time, holding a fixed head-angle. Then we go to say, BJJ class and some guy 100# bigger grabs us by the head. Then we go to the chiropractor twice a week with a sore neck... OR we do that little side-to-side motion, and the circles, infinities, and helixes that it leads to, and undo the effects of all that other misuse.
