Good day. Can anyone tell me what a "Quad Squat" is and how it is performed? Thank you.

Willie:

Please check out Flow Fit and Flow Fit 2 DVDs for detailed explaination of the quad hop and trinity squats. Where did you read or heard about quad squats?

You can pick up a free copy of flowfit at www.makeamericastronger.com

Quad hops are in a lot of the RMAX materials and I've seen video posted at some point. Maybe a search of this forum and youtube.

I have to say this person asked a question about an exercise and can't get a simple answer.... in lieu of purchasing product....not a good reflection.
I'm not a CST coach.... but a quad squat is an up and down movement, performed with both hands and feet on the earth, back parallel, and knees turned out about 45degrees.
The idea is to propell the body as a unit up and down, with force coming equally from all limbs.....and using breath as the compressive driving force ie: exhale when limbs meet the ground inhale at top of the movement.

The balance of the spiritual force of sharing/giving knowledge (as espoused on this site) and commerce is a tricky thing.

Hands are also angled out at 45 degrees.

i.e. they are not placed as in a conventional pushup.

I'll third the recommendation to pick up your free copy of Flowfit from the link that Steve provided.

In the meantime, there's an article in the press room called Train Smart (http://www.rmaxinternational.com/pressroom/BBM_02_2007.pdf) that's an excellent guide to quad squats.
