I have just purchased Warrior Wellness and now doing the beginners section for 4 days. The neck movement from side to side (Like an Egyptian) I can not not get any noticeable movement, what should I be thinking about to get this movement.
Thanks.

Try concentrating on sliding your mandible. Don't try to force the movement just let it relax and slide. You may have only a very small amount of movement at first. Make sure that you have good coccyx to crown alignment before you try to move.
Something else you can try is to have a friend place a fingertip on your mandible on one side and slowly move it away while you both try to maintain contact.

(Plz follow protocol servn).
I think of that motion as trying to push a doorbell button (at a compatible height) with the corner of my jawbone.

One thing I tried with someone who had a similar problem (he'd try to move his head that way and it'd just sit there) was to break the movement down into smaller increments.
You'll want to do this in a mirror, of course.
First exercise: Tilt your head left/right so that it leans out over your shoulder. This should be easy.
Second exercise: Tilt your head left/right so that it remains centered over your spine. This is a little tougher. If you find your head turning during this exercise so that your nose isn't pointing straight into the mirror, work on this first. If you find your head leaning out over your shoulder as in the first exercise, you're exceeding your range of motion; tilt less.
Third Exercise: Lean your head out over your shoulder as in the first exercise, and then tilt it in place, as in the second exercise, but in the opposite direction. This should leave you with your head upright but over one shoulder, as if you had completed the outward portion of the Juke. Relax and bring your head back to the middle, and you've done half the exercise.
Once you've convinced your nervous system that your head can, in fact, be in that position, moving into that position may be a bit easier...

Thanks for the replies I will give it a go. How much movement is possible, has anyone doing this movement gone from no movement to the range that Scott Sonnon displays on the video

David, a great deal of movement is possible, even starting like you (and like me) with zero. But the absolute quantity of motion is not particularly important. It's the neurological differentiation that develops, which allows us to unlock the repetitive-strain tension from typically holding our necks bolt-upright.
Got WW from your chiro? Got neck problems? Once you can articulate that motion, your chiro may find that he's cut into his income stream. Sure has worked that way for me.
Still like to see a name signature on your posts, your login name sounds Borg. 8)

A question about the rotation movements. When I am swinging the arm on the outside as I bring the arm up in front the arm is lined up with my body ( in one plane) but as soon as the arm Passes my head, my arm is at about 45 degree angle to my head and once my wrist reaches just above waist line its back inline with the body. Should I be applying any force to bring my arm in towards my body more or should I stay relaxed and let the arm flow around without resistance.

I would always choose "flow" over "force" David. Do what feels right to you.

As with all the movements of WW you want it to flow. Never force it. The ROM will come when you are ready. As for the neck slide. side-side I went from zero to alot. It just takes time. Never force any movement of WW. The less you force the more you will recover quicker.
