I'm not sure if this appropriate but was curious if anyone who attended the had a chance to try out the kettlebells that MMT makes.

They make that one that is 145lbs.

Rich,

I did have the chance to stop by and visit with Dave Bellomo - and try one of the 65# kettlebells he makes. The finish on the one I tried and the others I looked at was a little rougher than the sets I have at home. I had no way of measuring them but the handles "seemed" a little less in diameter. Other than that they handled just like any other single piece kettlebell.

I did try the 145# ... it is indeed a heavy piece of iron. I got it cleaned with the right hand but that was all I attempted.

That's all I can offer Rich.

Thanks a lot Gary,

I think I am going to head over there to Dave's place when the weather gets a little nicer to check some of them out. I would like to get one of each 80, 95, and 115. That would really round out my kettlebell collection nicely. A 25 and 45 will round out my clubbell collection also. The 25 will have to be soon.

Thanks again Gary.
Peace
Rich

Rich,

If you live close enough then making a visit is a good thing to do. There aren't many substitutes for getting your hands on the real thing and trying it out. That's the best (IMO) to determine if it suits you.

The advantage with Dave's selection is that the weights offered fit in between other offerings - making the transistion to the next level of weight easier for some people.

I do follow my own advice. :-) While at the Arnold I spent a couple of hours total at the Torque Athletic booth handling the Clubbells and talking with Odis, Scott, Brandon, and Dan. I now have a brand new pair of 15s (my home made clubs are suffering from lack of attention) and will get another pair soon.

Good luck with your "shopping trip."

Thanks Gary,

I think the same way about the hands on. I want to try out the bells before picking one up. Have a blast with clubbells. I love mine and want to get another 25 very soon.

Peace
Rich
