Would someone be kind enough to comment on my clubs (pictured in my Avatar) they weigh 7kg and are about 18 inches long.
I realise that clubbells are the ultimate tool for the job, and i would love some, but the price is a little prohibitive at the minute when you consider delivery to the UK. I picked these up from a website in Scotland.
They seem to be modelled on the traditional indian clubs. Can i expect similar benefits from these clubs or are there any pitfalls i should be aware of and look out for. I'm guessing any decent club is better than none?
Thanks

no-one care to comment then? Im wondering if the length of the club has an effect on the benefits of the exercise performed?
In the absence of anyone else responding, I would say swing away! They look great to me. I particularly like the color.
I can't imagine the shape being prohibitive in any way. The only thing is that it looks like most of the weight may be concentrated neat the middle of the club as opposed to clubbells, where the majority of the weight is near the end.
It might make it a bit difficult to park the weight on the shoulders because it is rounded, but when it comes down to it, they will definitely do the job!
The grip looks a bit slick also, you might try putting some hockey tape or another similar tacky tape on the handle.
Enjoy

Alan, they're fine, if perhaps a bit slick from the paint? Anything that let's you start swinging, in my view, will be useful and give the feel you're looking for. All those Persians can't be wrong, eh?
Carry on!
And tell us how you're doing with them from time to time.

Thanks guys, as soon as my boss gives me my well-deserved pay rise (ha!) i'll be placing my order for the real deal. until then these babies will do. Its just a shame they dont stand on their end in the park position.

Alan,
I have a couple of old Indian Clubs in my collection. I see the Indian clubs like the classic cars of my grandfather and father's generation but I still love the fast and modern European dream cars which I do not have yet; (I am working on it :).) My advice is get started with what you have and when you are able get the real thang, then do so. Don't allow your pockets to stop you from practicing CST. I highly recommend getting the BIG Book and DVD Clubbell®® series so you can understand how to do the exercises efficently and effectively. I am sure once you get the Clubbells, you will see a huge difference in the old school and the new school. Best of luck and represent us well in the UK, bro.

Alan, consider those poor souls who must resort to swinging engineer's hammers, and the holes they aquire in their walls! Indian clubs GOOD!
