Here is a great article to back up what Scott says about eating slower.

Because when it comes down to it, swinging our clubs and flowing ourselves only encompasses about 5-10% of our day, it is what we do with the remaining 95% that makes the biggest differences!

I have a friend who's a zen meditator, he eats extremely slowly. He is also thin and French, heheh.

I have an unfortunate conditioning from home, I always ate very slowly as a child but parents physically hit me to eat fast...not very clever, it messed up my instincts pretty badly and as an adult I still struggle.
