Found this. The device seems very interesting. Would there be a good carry over into martial art? Boxing to be specifically with the rotary movements?

One of my fighters introduced me to the burn machine. I Hate it - and not in the good way. Sure, it rotates - but the rotational movement is not resisted. The resistance is entirely downward. its basically a barbell with handles that you can twist. You can also shift the weight moreso to one side but at least with the one I tried out, its very slight - almost not perceivable. IMO, its a piece of crap.
The one thing I will say in its favor is that due to the rotation it does enable you to find the most comfortable wrist position for each movement. Its probably a safer alternative to a barbell for some conventional exercises.

Old Russian madman Pavel summed these devices up best in Bullet Proof Abs. He said, "If the fitness devices you see on TV worked than they couldn't keep making new ones."

In terms of boxing I don't see much value. Most devices used for increasing attributes for striking are useless for the most part because what most people need to work on is refining and engraining their skills. Also, they tend to place the reistance in the wrong place or focus only on the support muscle rather than the ones that generate the power.

In my opinion, it is rubbish.
