Last night I had the pleasure of showing Coach Valery, Eric, and Kevin how to walk from their hotel to the seminar location in Hell's Kitchen. I believe they were impressed and thought "Club H" was beautiful and practical for our seminar. Then later I took them out to dinner at a local sushi resturant near by. Yup, these men love sushi, especially when it is a good deal! I had an very interesting discussion about kettlebell coaching and training with all of them and the future of kettlebell training. I was most impress with the insights of these men and learned a lot from them. At the end of the night, I learned that kettlebell athletes should ask the hard questions about "the source" of their kettlebell techniques and training methodologies. I won't speak about our private conversations in details however in my opinion Coach Valery is indeed the real deal when it comes to kettlebell training and his insights on kettlebell training and coaching comes from many years of self mastery through kettlebell athleticism. If someone asked me the source of my training in kettlebells, I am confident in saying in came from Coach Valery, world recorder holder and Russian master in sport. It will be an honor working with him this weekend.

PS: Coach Sonnon, I wish you were here. I think you would have love the yoga studio at Club H. Heal up soon and thank you for preparing me for this day. I owe you so much and thank you for being my coach.

May 24th Sat Day One

It is lunch time and I am home. I want to write a quick update about what is going right now. Coach Valery gave a very detail lecture on the how and why about his kettlebell fitness program. He demostrated all listed kb exercises and taught the subtle refinements that made our techniques and methodology unqiue and kettlebell specific unlike other methodologies and gave the group a practical workout using timed sets for all fitness levels. From what I have observed, the group are having fun and learning so much. I met some old faces and made some new friends. I am happy that everything is going as planned. It was a joy for me in helping others in understanding the science behind our techniques and offering some useful pointers. I also met a lovely couple from Stanford, CT. They will be coming to NYC for private coaching in the future. Coach Sonnon, I have taken care of our friends from OZ and they send their regards. OK, guys, it is time that I eat something. I will report back soon.

Coach Tran, I think it's wonderful that you stepped up to the plate to bat for Coach Sonnon (sorry about baseball metaphor, but in a city of the Yankees and the Mets, why not). I know that he's being well-represented by his esteemed New York City Coach Tran! As a tour guide, I imagine you're unbeatable. Good for Valery and Co.
I can't wait for a similar kettlebell program out here in the Left Coast (I'm Santa Cruz, California-based.). Looking forward to read more of your accounts of this great kettlebell moment.

After Lunch, AKC Coach Micheal S. presented the periodization protocols of our method and Coach V performed three KB exercise using the level 19 protocol (there are 20 levels of fitness in WKC total). This was grueling and wonderful to watch. Then the groups went into more training timed set protocols and finally AKC coach Kevin gave a presentation about his story of how he uses kettlebell training to train his clients for health and fitness. He also offered marketing and coaching advice and the benfits of Kettlebell training. At the end of the day, we had dinner at a Cuban restaurant. It was a productive and fun day. Tomorrow will be the day I present CST materials for Kettlebell athletes. Wish me luck.

Kevin, Thanks. ;)

Well Guys, the second day is over. I presented the CST materials for Kettlebell fitness. I do not like speaking about my own performance but I think it went well. I will allow the group to write about my seminar performance. The head AKC coaches said I did a find job and my movements looked great and loved how my "personality" came out through my coaching. I did follow the guidelines set before me by coach Sonnon, but I did not try to be like him. Only Sonnon can be Sonnon. The best thing I could do is be myself and I think the group benefited from being authentic. Out of this experience, Club H has asked me to join the personal training educational staff and will be contacting me to help design a World Kettlebell Fitness group fitness class. AKC also has big plans in NYC and Coach V think I have the ability to help them achieve their goals in NYC because of background and network. I am done folks. Tomorrow I will back to my daily routine and my new training cycle.

PS: Coach Sonnon I hope I did you proud. I was thinking about you the whole time.

PS: Coach Sonnon I hope I did you proud. I was thinking about you the whole time.I doubt Coach Sonnon had any fears that you would do any thing less than make him proud or else you wouldn't be "Coach" Tran. ;)

Glad everything went well in NYC.

Hope this comes out to the west coast.

Later,

Lauri,

It was a pleasure meeting you in person and I love your energy. You are filled with positive energy and love. You are most passionate person I have met at a fitness seminar. Thank you for your support and I am sure you will do great when you come to Bellingham, WA. I look forward in meeting with you again.

Yours in CST,

I was one of the lucky ones at the seminar and as I wrote in the AKC forum, both Lauri and Bao did a fantastic job. Both are true inspirations to me. If I can project half the enthusiasm as Coach Lauri and flow half as good as Coach Bao, I think I will do just fine in my fitness career.

Stan,

I hope you can make it to my informal workshop next Sunday. It was pleasure meeting you as well. I want to speak about how clubbell training and work together with Kettlebell athleticism.

Lauri,

I will prep you with my 10lb clubbells. I know you will have a 15lb pair, but do not worry. There are tricks in how you can micro-load the club. I will give advice on how you can prepare for the seminar in Bellingham.

The cost of this informal workshop is 8 dollars, folks. There is a special reason why it is 8 dollars. It aint because I am broke and need charity. ;) Come to my informal workshop and learn something and see where that 8 dollars will go to... ;)

As one of the attendees to this event, I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had. The material covered was pure genius. Another revolutionary milestone in the Fitness Industry for sure. I really want to thank everyone who attended making the learning experience that much better.
I want to really thank Coach Valery and Coach Sonnon for developing and sharing this material and all of the great Coaches in attendance that day offering Expert advice (Coach Kevin, Eric L., Mike Stefano and wife Kim, Ashley H., Lauri Rudach and Bao Tran). Every Coach there provided so much useful tips for me to work on. I am forever grateful.

Coach Tran, your delivery of Coach Sonnon's material was excellent!! I know everyone was impressed with your mastery of the material and you provided a prime example of what Coach Sonnon's work is all about. Your Flow was amazing and Coach Sonnon has a lot to be proud of.

Being part of a sample class led by no other than Kettlebell Girl herself, I am very excited about the prospects of spreading this material to everyone who needs it. With the launch of the Fitness program, I see Great things for AKC and the Art of the Kettlebell!

Best wishes to all S.L.!
Great work, Bao! Way to step up and represent!
