It's been two months since i started with Doug's ABC and the Bruiser club. Working with the basics 2-3 times a week has allowed me to pack on 15 lbs. of muscle mass, going from 160 lbs. to a solid 175 lbs while maintain my flexibility and natural movement!
Not only that, but my structural strength, balance and posture have improved dramatically. It may sound stupid, but the brusier has given me a huge advantage at my blue collar job. People think that most blue collar jobs are bottom of the barrel and I would tend to agree, but I am competing against 5 other workers for hours and wages and if something like a huge 45 lb club can give me a working advantage, then I'm all for it.
My only beef is that I should have gotten the 25 lb. club instead of the 45er. It would've allowed me to incorporate more variety in my training being able to do more of the movements in the book and maybe incorporate a density cycle as well!
My advice to new knuckledraggers is to stay modest and start with a lighter club than you think you can handle. These things are tough and you'll have absolutely nothing to lose
