On August 16th 2008, Certified Circular Strength Training® and American Kettlebell Club Coach B. D. Tran will be holding one day basic Kettlebell Fitness workshop in Midtown Manhattan, NYC. The workshop will focus on the kettlebell fitness system developed by the American Kettlebell Club, the leading fluid style kettlebell lifting organization.

Here you will be introduced the most sophisticated health and fitness kettlebell system and protocols ever developed by two internationally distinguished coaches Valery Fendorenko and Scott Sonnon. To ensure high quality control over the subject matter which required detail coaching and assessment, Coach Tran will limit the workshop’s attendance to just 10 individuals.

What will you gain from this workshop?

Joint Mobility exercises developed by Coach Sonnon, the first leader in joint mobility and wellness. You learn a series of joint mobility designed exclusively for kettlebell athletes. Your joints will be primed and ready for kettlebell training.
Kettlebell exercises for fitness selected by Coach Fendorenko. Instead of teaching 101 kettlebell movements, you learn to “MASTER” a few basic exercises such as clean, snatch, and jerks, and more… It is not how many exercises you know, but how well you can perform them.
Prasara Yoga™. You will learn the yoga that Coach Sonnon developed for the Kettlebell athletes. You will learn to restore your natural poise and flow and remove excessive tension so you can become a better kettlebell athlete.
You will the RESET™ program, which is a series of breathing and biofeedback exercises that help you to reset your target heart rate zone. The faster you can recover the more you can do and longer you last. This is amazing program have been used by many professional mixed martial artists. Now you can benefit too.

The cost of this workshop is 300$. You will also receive one pro grade Kettlebell (12k/blue) or (8K pink) if you sign up by July 31, 2008. For more details on payment and location of this event, please email me at BaoTran@CSTCOACH.COM. I look forward meeting you soon.

Some people have asked me several questions about this event and now I would like to answer them.

This workshop is not a certification seminar, but an introduction to the kettlebell fitness system developed by the American Kettlebell Club. I designed this workshop for the kettlebell novice. Since I have been using pro grade kettlebells and the AKC method, many trainers and non-fitness professionals have asked me to teach them how to use KB for fitness.

No, I will not be coaching Clubbells at this event, but I will be more than happy to coach anyone privately after the event. Due to my schedule, I will hold a future CST seminar in the fall.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me and I will be happy to answer your questions.

I have five still slots open. I have closed this workshop for personal trainers at my gym because I want non-fitness professionals to learn how to kettlebell for fitness. If you guys have any questions, please email me.

Hi -
I just wanted to briefly post a thank-you to Bao for organizing this workshop in fluid kettlebell exercise.
There are so many subtleties and nuances to this style of lifting that it is important to get excellent guidance from a gifted trainer.
Bao is a very 'hands on' teacher, demonstrating the movements. It was great to have him point out my flaws in my attempt to replicate them and doing so in a manner that I could actually feel the correct movements. This was important to me especially because previously I had been exposed only to the 'hard style' of training.
He even pointed out a 'hidden' problem I had w. one of my elbows, the weakness a result of nearly hyper extending it during a systema practice. IF done regularly and FF1 done semi-regularly have really helped that situation. The cool-down prasara flows will lead to further improvement. Compensating after exercise is something I really have never done, and I plan to make that a regular part of my exercise schedule. I know that compensating for movement is CST gospel especially when using the 'tools of the trade', clubbells and now kettlebells. I've just been lax in that department, probably to my detriment. No more.

Spending time with a qualified coach also provides an extra dash of motivation to continue doing it the right way. That's another reason to schedule some time w. Bao, if you have the chance, or any of the other certified CST trainer in your area.
I look forward to the next opportunity to do just that!

Thanks again

Bill
