Jarlo,

Thanks for the encouragement.

Lorenzo,

I am baby now in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I got to learn how to crawl before I can run. I also box with my boxing coach. I am practicing boxing and BJJ for fitness, self defense, pleasure, and self mastery. I do not plan to do anything BIG with it.

If I am ready and prepared, then of course I will compete in BJJ. There are a lot of strong BJJ players in my area. I am humble and smart enough to know my own limitations and abilities. At this point of my BBJ training is mastering the fundamentals.

Right now Professor Shaolin's NYC academy is about 5 months old. His academy is growing and has attracted several promising students. From what I understand the professor is very interested in developing any student who is interested in combative sport competitions.

hello,

coach tran, it sounds like you have the best of reasons to train in jiujitsu. you like it. more people should do the things they like for it's own sake, rather than because something is profitable or "high profile" or the "in thing".

it will be interesting to see you progress.

thanks
