In the latest issue of Coach Sonnon's on-line magazine, he presents some exercises to develop low back health, which I greatly appreciate. However, what really helped me was a comment he made on the "Freedom by Degree" tape series. In reference to pain and injuries, Coach Sonnon said in effect, "Don't overlook the obvious."

I've been having episodes of back & hip pain mostly on the left side for over a year, after an injury that should have been long since healed. When Coach Sonnon's remark finally clicked, I stopped carrying MY WALLET in my left hip pocket. It's a pretty skinny wallet, but even so, the episodes of pain have greatly diminished just since I did that.

Man, I did the same thing! Had an injury that resulted in pain that just wouldn't go away. As soon as I stopped carry the wallet in my back pocket, it started to fade... though I still got some professional help to make sure there wasn't more to it, which there was.

Keep working the tension out of your back, but you may want to go see a massage therapist to evaluate underlying causes and accelerate your recovery. From time to time it's nice to have someone get into those hard-to-work spots, though with Warrior Wellness as a daily practice, I rarely need to. :)
