Greetings!
I am interested in getting the most progress for the time/effort spent/used when utilizing many of the programs offered by RMax. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate your input, and with this in mind, I will now fill you in on just what I have been (and am) doing in my training activities.
1. After having used ALL the drills found in the many Zdorovye/Warrior Wellness tapes for a couple of years - and thereby regaining a range-of-motion I have not had since I was a child, I began doing Body Flow as well as the drills in Freedom By Degree, Fisticuffs, Leg Fencing, and also training with Clubbells.
2. This "load" of different styles of training was too time consuming and varied, and I soon realized that a certain amount of it had to be cut out. After reflecting upon the different types of training the programs mentioned above contained, it seemed to me that training with Clubbells (and the muscular development which came with this training) might actually inhibit the progress that the drills in Body Flow and the "Weaponizing Your Architecture" drills in Fisticuffs/Leg Fencing were designed to bring. It seemed likely that a high degree of proficiency in the many drills of Body Flow, Fisticuffs, and Leg Fencing had be gained BEFORE Clubbell training could really be embarked upon and its benefits could have the greatest effects (however, I fully realize that I could be wrong!). So, I eliminated Clubbell training and attempted to stick with the following training procedure throughout each week:
Body Flow drills - Mon/Wed/Fri
Fisticuffs Weaponizing drills - Mon/Wed/Fir
Freedom By Degree drills - Sat/Sun
Polozheniye drills - Sunday

3. The logic I am following is to acquire the skills/coordination/awareness etc. that come with Body Flow and Fisticuffs/Leg Fencing to a high degree so that my body is used to moving and functioning this way in a "second nature" manner with them, AND THEN to move into serious CLubbell, Maximology, and related R.O.S.S training procedures.
But, not having any expertise in any of these outstanding training programs, I doubt that I am going about things in the proper manner. And since there are high-level trainers, coaches, and users who frequent this forum, I am hoping that some of them may offer some advice on how I should employ the information in the RMax programs I now have so I can reach the levels of proficiency these programs can bring.
I should say here that I harbor the desire to completely assimilate the total gammut of what these various programs offer, rather than wanting to just select bits and pieces from each training system while ignoring other aspects.
Anyway, if anyone has the time or inclination, and wishes to respond to this posting, I thank you in advance for your attention.
Regards,

Kosto,

Firstly, relax and don't try and do everyone at once. You'll just become frustrated and overtrained. From your post, you may already be close to burn-out. You need to simplify, concentrate, and cycle. In other words, identify one specific goal, select the exercises which will address the range and depth you wish to hit, create the training protocol which will access the particular energy system you wish to tap, and stick to it for 5 weeks. Then reassess, reconfigure and re-cycle again.

Secondly, Clubbell training isn't a progression after Body-Flow. Body-Flow is the underpinning exercise philosophy, and regardless of your exercise (or tool) selection, if you're doing CST, you're utilizing the Body-Flow doctrine.

Thirdly, don't try and learn the breadth of the CST System. Rather, realize the System is a vehicle to understanding yourself. You can do that better through one or two exercises at a time and taking them to significant depth (relative to your current ability).

Lastly, take advantage of the PROGRAM DESIGN HELP DESK. Post your specific goals, available equipment, training background, injury history, scheduling availability and ultimate intention. Then commit yourself to the free program designed for you by the CST Head Coaching Staff. Take your time, focus and allow yourself to adapt appropriately.
