To those that live in the area, hope you are all safe!

Condolences to those who have lost those close to them.

For those that are unware, Victoria, Australia is having its worst bushfires in history. Last Saturday was the hottest day in history (46 degrees c in Vic) combined with extreme high winds and that was enough to torch large regions of the countryside (along with some suspected arson).

The previous worst fires 'Ash Wednesday' claimed around 70 lives in the early 1980s. The current fires are up to 180 lives and counting and whole towns are gone.

And on a lighter note, this clip of a dazed wild koala that approaches fireman for water is quite cute:

"An act of mass murder..."

If there's anything we can do for our Aussie family, please let us know...
