Does anyone know where I can find his video? The descriptions that I have heard of it sound like it will be an excellent way to augment my Body Flow practice. The problem is that all searches just come up as references to him and his system. Any help is appreciated.
Thanx, Tim

Sorry, but I have a copy yet I got it second hand and I'm not sure where you can find it. I would do a search for Brazilian fitness videos or contact a Machado or Native Brazilian BJJ instructor. There are some exhibition tapes out there with no instruction.
The material I have is in Portugues. The movements do compliment Bodyflow, but nothing that effected my teaching and training dramatically. With the language gap, I'm not sure of the "intentions" of the movements.

I read an interview with him and his method sounds very deep, but without a vocal commentary it probably isn't quite so useful.
thanks for the reply, Tim.

I think everything is useful.
Whether you know the intentions or understand the language, the physical movements are a lot more sophisticated that traditional yoga. Part of it is based upon Corporal Expression, which is a study of the body and movement.
Once I understood the nature of sophisticated movement, I searched high and low for other concepts, exercises and such that embodies the requirements. Bodyflow isn't so much the movements, but the theory it's based upon.
For example, I noticed swimmers or former swimmers caught on very quickly to "BodyFlow". Soon I realized, swimming strokes the breaststoke and butterfly require very sophistocated movement. So, I jumped in the pool and began swimming my butt off. Anything to enhance my movement potential.

I have both Ginastica Natural tapes and both are amazing. One of them is in english, but I do not recall which one at this time. The animal gaits are fun to play with. If you get either one, it will be well worth the money.

I found an interview with Orlando and it sounds similar to Body Flow. Particulary the emphasis on breathing. He mentioned that animals are always breathing and humans are the only creatures to "catch" their breath. He is much more "articulate" about the subject than I am so with out further delay here is the link: http://stickgrappler.tripod.com/ug/ginastica.html

Yeah, that's the first place I heard about him. Good suff. I would love to have a class with him. He seems to know a lot about integration.
Thanx, Tim.

Orlando's a guy with whom I can relate. His stuff is quality. Get it if you can.
